  8. Using this  Hyperbook  presentation  is  simple.   Just  click  on the
  9. subject/command you want to display/perform and that action is carried
  10. out - it's as simple as that!

  13. ›1mTHE SYMBOLS - WHAT DO THEY REPRESENT?›0m

  15. If you have already  looked  through  Apollo  11,  you will of noticed
  16. different symbols placed around the screen.  These symbols, or "icons"
  17. should be clicked on with the left mouse-buttons to perform a specific
  18. task, for example  the  Double-Quaver  symbol  loads  an audio sample.
  19. Also, the symbol of a film  camera,  clapper board and film denotes an
  20. image that can be displayed by clicking on it.

  22. Usually, the symbol has text written underneath them to tell you which
  23. image/sample will be loaded.  In the case  of audio samples, a line of
  24. the sample is given, for example -  "One small step for man, one giant
  25. leap for mankind" tells you that the sample will load this speech.

  32. * Every time I load one of  the  larger samples, it plays normally and
  33. returns me to Apollo 11.  I then find  that the pages go blank and the
  34. screen flashes - stopping me from continuing.  I own an Amiga A1200.

  38. * On Amiga A1200s causing  the  above  problems, you should reset your
  39. Amiga and hold  down  both  mouse-buttons.   Turn  off  CPU Caches and
  40. select the original chipset from  the "boot selection screen".  Reboot
  41. as normal - all should now work fine.

  46. * I'm tired of swapping disks as I  use  Apollo 11.  I own a hard disk
  47. drive, and wonder if it is possible to install Apollo 11 on there.

  49. Solution
  50. ~~~~~~~~
  51. * It is possible  to  install  Apollo  11  on  a  hard disk drive, but
  52. requires some knowledge  of  Amiga  DOS  as  well  as  Workbench.  The
  53. easiest way of  doing  this,  is  to  copy  all  three  disks onto the
  54. partition of your choice and  then  adding "assign" statements to your
  55. boot partition's startup-sequence.  For  example,  if you create three
  56. directories named: "Apollo-1", Apollo-2 and  "Apollo-3", on your WORK:
  57. partition, the assign statements would be:

  60.         Assign Apollo-2: Work:Apollo-2
  61.         Assign Apollo-3: Work:Apollo-3

  67. * I bought my copy of Apollo  11  from  a  PD library and can't get to
  68. display the images in  the  "Apollo  11  Picture Gallery".  The system
  69. keeps asking me to "INSERT APOLLO-3" what am I doing wrong?

  73. * You're not doing anything wrong.   The  version you presently own is
  74. the "Unregistered" release which is  not  supplied with the third disk
  75. "Apollo-3", which contains the  images.   If  you  become a registered
  76. user (by paying the  registeration  fee)  you  will  receive the third
  77. disk.

  82. * When I load my copy of Apollo 11 from my copy Workbench, the writing
  83. appears to be different  and  the  paragraphs  are all chewed-up.  The
  84. headings are also much smaller, although the text still reads the same
  85. and the colours are intact.

  88. ~~~~~~~~
  89. * Your version of Workbench  won't  have the correct "fonts" installed
  90. on it to correctly display Apollo 11.   You should copy the fonts from
  91. the disk "Apollo-1" (in the fonts  directory) to the same directory on
  92. your Workbench disk.  This  problem  will  also  occur  if you install
  93. Apollo 11 on your hard drive.
